As many of you have heard and seen via social media, the publisher of WHERE MONSTERS BEGIN AND END, Conquest Publishing, has closed following the loss of its owner, Brittany McMunn. This has been unexpected, to say the absolute least; I am heartbroken for Brittany’s family, and I ask that you all keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
What does this mean for WHERE MONSTERS BEGIN AND END? Conquest Publishing has dissolved and as a result, the rights to publish the book have returned to me and the book is (or will be soon) unavailable.
I am incredibly touched by all the messages I’ve received from people who have read the book, who went on to buy another copy for someone else; who recognized themselves or someone they loved within the pages; who told me the book has stayed with them. I am more grateful than I can say.
I hope this isn’t the end of this story. Right now, I am pursuing other publishers to bring WMBAE back to the bookshelves, but truthfully, the fact that it was previously published means many other publishers are not interested. Unfortunately, I do not foresee a quick solution.
If you care to and are able, reviews (on your point of sale, like Amazon or B&N, or on Goodreads) help show that people read and enjoyed this book. However, I do want to take this opportunity to just say thank you to everyone who bought this book, who shared it with someone, who shared it on social media, who cheered me on. It means the world to me.
